Darlyn Magaña is a bilingual therapist from Las Vegas who helps individuals, couples, and teens navigate depression, anxiety, perinatal mental health, trauma, life transitions, and relationship dynamics. She supports clients in aligning with their values and evolving through life’s challenges to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Family Studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she was part of the Honors College, and her Master of Science in Couple and Family Therapy from the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine as a first generation student.

Darlyn integrates evidence based approaches tailored to each client’s journey:

• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): helping clients accept difficult emotions and take action guided by their values.

• Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples: supporting partners in identifying and expressing emotions to strengthen attachment and connection.

• Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): focusing on strengths and resources to find practical solutions and create positive change.

• EMDR: assisting clients in processing and reducing the impact of traumatic memories.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Darlyn is passionate about supporting her local community. She has volunteered with K–12 students, teaching about mental health, navigating the experience of being a first generation student, and exploring mental health career paths. During her time at UNLV, she also mentored students interested in higher education, worked closely with student athletes, and taught a college level course on personal growth. She is dedicated to helping clients take meaningful steps toward support even in communities and families where asking for help hasn’t always felt safe or encouraged.
